Ministries

iGrow is our Discipleship emphasis.  Jesus invited us to “follow him.”  Discipleship means learning his ways; learning to be like him.  We have many different learning opportunities for your spiritual formation.  Jesus also gave us the mandate to make Christlike disciples in all nations.  Key questions in the Christian’s life are:  Who is discipling me?  Who am I discipling?  Let us help you answer these questions!

Connecting Points

• Connections Counter – Stop by the Connections Counter in the Worship Center Lobbies to be greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable member of our Connections Team (wearing an iConnect badge) who can answer all your questions about finding your way into the life of the church.
• Connect Card – Complete this card found in your Worship Folder and put it in the offering plate as it is passed OR turn it in at the Connections Counter and receive a Welcome Gift! 
• Newcomers Luncheons – Hosted by the Pastoral Staff Team on Sundays in August, September, January and February.  A chance for new folks and families to meet each other and get better acquainted with the Pastors.  Watch announcements or call the church office @ 847-3335 for specific dates and reservations.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to schedule a one-on-one meeting to discuss your particular needs for connection at HCN.  We will explore your story, your interests, passions, gifts, skills and how you might connect and engage more deeply into the fellowship, ministry and mission of this local body.
• Membership Class – Hosted quarterly by Senior Pastor Howard Plummer on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings.  Attend just one class for the purpose of learning what we believe as Nazarenes and how we operate in this local body.  Very informative and no pressure to join!
• Starting Point Class – An opportunity to explore faith for seekers (those who are curious about God, Jesus, the Bible, or Christianity), starters (those who are new to a relationship with Jesus Christ), and returners (those who have some church experience, but have been away for awhile).  A safe, conversational experience where no question or doubt is off-limits.  10-week classes begin in January and August.
• Mid-week Connection - Family Fellowship Meal and Classes.  The meal is served from 5:00-6:15 each week in The Center and costs $5 for adults, $3 for children under ten or a $20 family maximum.  Make reservations on the Connect Card or by calling the church office @847-3335
• Sunday Connection – Sunday School (make this a live button going to descriptions) is the BEST way to connect with a small group on a regular basis.

• Doorway Events – Almost monthly, we gather as a congregation in a casual social setting on a Sunday evening simply to enjoy good food and each other’s company.  These are great “non-threatening” events which provide opportunity to fellowship and get acquainted.  They are great “doorways” through which to invite non-churched family and friends to explore our church.

iBelong is our Group Life emphasis.  The only way to cultivate true belonging in a large church is to develop relationships in small groups.  We have many different types of groups.  Find one that fits your needs & interests and join!
