Pastor Ronnie Thompson
This church has been a part of my life for many years. I was invited to the church by a second grade classmate who later became my college roommate. When I didn’t have to go to church with my family, HCN is where I chose to be. When I was given the choice to drive myself to church, HCN is where I would drive. When I found the young lady who would be my wife, it was in the HCN youth group. When that young woman agreed to marry me, the ceremony was held at HCN. When my wife and I returned home from the Coast Guard, it was HCN we came home to. When my children were dedicated to the LORD, it was the congregation of HCN that we stood in front of. When I was struggling to find my place as the head of a family, it was the men of HCN who taught me. When I was struggling to find an occupation and direction for my life, it was HCN that offered me an opportunity and took a chance. When I question my call into the ministry, it is the people of HCN who affirm my calling and provide support.
I am currently a student of Nazarene Bible College and only months away from meeting the requirements for ordination in the Church of the Nazarene and currently, less than two years away from my first degree. I enjoy old cars, the guitar, sports, and unlike all the other staff members – I’m a Tennessee Vol.
