Pastor Rondy Smith

Rondy M. Smith joined the pastoral staff team at Hermitage Church of the Nazarene in July of 2001, after serving on the faculty of Trevecca Nazarene University for 12 years.  She has also served the corporate world at Northern Telecom, Inc., Executive Learning, Inc., and as management consultant to a host of clients from Fortune 500 to non-profit organizations.  Rondy holds a bachelor's degree from Trevecca Nazarene University, a Master's degree from the University of Kansas, and a Doctorate in Human and Organizational Development from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University. 

Rondy's responsibilities as Community Life Pastor include Connectivity & Assimilation,  Discipleship, Grouplife, and Ministry Development for adults.  She is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene. She Chairs the USA/Canada Nazarene Women Clergy Council, and serves on the Women's Ministries Council for the International Nazarene Denomination, the council for Women Alive/Come to the Fire Ministries, and the TN District Ministry Board of Studies & Credentials and Sunday School and Discipleship Ministries board.  She is a frequent conference & retreat speaker and consultant to faith-based organizations, and is a certified Strengths Coach through the Gallup Organization.

Rondy and her husband, Bobby, have two sons, Daniel, a student at Trevecca Nazarene University, and Kyle, a student at Mt. Juliet High School.  She enjoys travel, reading, eating her husband's gourmet cooking, and participating in all her boys' activities.  Rondy counts it a great blessing and privilege to serve such an awesome God in such an awesome church.
