Shane Tarter was born and raised in Mt. Juliet, TN.  He graduated from MTSU in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.  Shane received his calling into the ministry in the spring of 2008.  Shane has followed in the Nazarene tradition of his two grandfathers, who were Senior Pastors, two of his uncles, who were Youth Pastors, and his mother, who was the Children's Pastor here at HCN.  Shane is the son of Larry and Tammy Tarter and the brother of Blake and Jessica.  He enjoys working with a great staff led by Pastor Howard Plummer.  His hobbies include working out, softball, going off-road in his Jeep, and growing closer to the Lord.  His favorite sport is baseball and his favorite team is the New York Yankees.  He enjoys being involved in the lives of the teens, doing mission work with the teens, planning fun events for the group, and watching them become strong young Christians.  He is pursuing a Master's Degree in Religion and is looking forward to following God's path for his life.
